**PLEASE ARRIVE AT GRC Room 123 AT LEAST 10 MINUTES BEFORE YOUR SCHEDULED TIME**
- Read carefully the “Audition Requirements” pages in your application packet for details.
- Each student has been allotted an appropriate amount of time for his/her audition and interview. Late arrivals may have a shortened audition, or will be asked to wait until other applicants have finished.
- Dress appropriately for audition into a Fine Arts program.
- All phones in the audition space must be silenced or turned off. Applicants should not be texting or on phones when in the audition space, even if they are not currently on stage.
- In order for teachers to better recall students after the audition, simple headshots may be taken. If you would like to bring your own school picture, please bring only a wallet-sized photo, which will not be returned to you.
- All students are subject to being recorded or videotaped for further discussion among the judges. These videotapes and recordings will be kept in a secured file until the end of the school year, but will not be shown to outside parties.
- Parents and family members will be directed to a waiting area during the auditions, but will not be permitted in the audition room.
- Be well-rested and prepared to show your best work!
Instrumental Music Students:

- Two copies of the piece must be submitted at the time of audition.

- Please bring your own music, preferably in mp3 format on a phone or iPod-type device. If you need to bring a CD or cassette tape, please contact Lowther ahead of time at [email protected]
Visual Art:
- Do not forget to bring your portfolio! Applicants without their portfolio will not be permitted to audition.
- Students will be in the room with several other students, completing individual on-site art tasks. Students will have their own tables; art supplies will be provided, but students are welcome to bring their own if they have a special set with which they work well.
- Students may not listen to their music devices while completing the on-site art task.
- Applicants will be taken aside individually during the group time to conduct the verbal interview with the judges.
