Kylee Stinnett
Kylee is in her sophomore year of college, majoring in music education at the University of Louisville. She recently finished her second college marching band season and has been busy visiting different K-12 schools to observe their music classes. "The GRC Fine Arts Cohort has greatly benefited me in my college endeavors. It gave me access to various repertoire and performance opportunities throughout my high school career, and it then greatly prepared me for my future outside of high school as a performer." |
Abby Green
After GRC, Abby attended the University of Kentucky, majoring in Graphic Design & Digital Media and minoring in Art History. For the past three years, she been doing full-time freelance illustration, design, and brand identity systems. In 2023, Abby moved to Rochester, New York and pivoted her career and personal goals to prioritize building community through arts and volunteering, and reconnecting with her personal art, passions, and hobbies. She is now returning to open contracts, seeking new contracts, and taking full-time roles. "The cohort at GRC exposed me to arts outside of visual that I normally couldn't have been involved in if I had stayed at my previous high school, like working on the props for "The Little Mermaid" and painting doors in Mrs. Wilson's class. The resources within the visual cohort allowed me to explore different media, paper types, printmaking, ink, painting, murals, etc. This early exposure to different media helped me transition into a college-level setting where projects are more processed and research based." |
Judge Pullin
Judge is currently a junior at Eastern Kentucky University studying music education. He has worked with marching bands, giving private lessons, teaching start-up camps for beginners, and has been able to observe music programs throughout the state. "I truly feel that the Fine Arts Cohort was the single best thing that has prepared me for studying music in college. There were so many things that were familiar to me because of this program and I felt like it gave me a head start." |
Elena Guerra
Elena has worked in the Central Kentucky area with various theater companies, including the Leeds Center for the Arts, Voices Amplified, and Adventure Theatre. Some community credits include Molly Aster in "Peter and the Starcatcher" and Emily Webb in "Our Town." Her most recent professional credits are Kaylee in "The Prom" with Voices Amplified and Ulsa in "Santiclaws and the X-mas Squad" with Adventure Theatre. She recently had the pleasure of working with Mahan Multimedia on a Green Dot film project. Elena has also served on staff at the Kentucky Governor's School for the Arts for several summers. "Working with the Fine Arts Cohort in my time at GRC gave me a community that I never knew existed. I had always loved singing but never realized it could be more than a hobby or my favorite part of life." |
Galen Arnett
Since high school, Galen has gone on to further his artistic education by getting a BFA in acting at The University of Cincinnati College Conservatory of Music. His pursuit of the arts has led him to a voice acting career working on video games, animation, and national commercials for companies like Sony, US Bank, and AMD. "In my time at GRC, Cohort provided a time and place to pursue my passion. The environment which Mr. Olson and the rest of the Cohort teachers created, pushed me toward my aspirations. Without them, I would not have sought out further education." |
Charli O'Dell
Charli has continued her arts education at the University of Kentucky as a Dance major and Theatre minor. Since graduating from GRC in 2020, she has been hired to choreograph for several music theater productions, including for Fayette County Public Schools, Transylvania University, and the University of Kentucky. In addition to her choreography, Charli has also interned as an administrative assistant at Joffrey Ballet School in New York City. Upon her collegiate graduation in December 2024, she aims to continue to perform and work professionally in dance and theater. "GRC’s Fine Arts Cohort began my love for all artforms, as I had the pleasure of exploring different majors to find my own creative voice while learning technique and skills to work as an artist. The Fine Arts Cohort was a community of like-minded individuals with a passion for the arts not only brought about some of the greatest friendships that I have ever known, but it also paved the way to artistic connections that can be used for the remainder of my career." |
