The following was taken directly from the article on the district homepage. "Recently, five students from GRC High School were named All-State musicians and will represent GRC at the Kentucky Music Educators Association conference in Louisville. These students are sophomores Serena Hutchens and Luke Martin, and seniors Sarah Kennedy, John Shields, and Isaiah Williams. Sarah, Luke, and John are part of the All-State Chorus. Sarah will perform with the Women's Chorus, Luke with the Men's Chorus, and John with the Mixed Chorus. Serena is playing violin in the All-State Symphony Orchestra, and Isaiah will be Second Chair Snare Drum in the All-State Symphonic Band. Isaiah will also be performing with the All-State Percussion Ensemble later this month as part of the Percussive Arts Society's "Day of Percussion" at the University of Kentucky. All five students were selected through a rigorous audition process that included several thousand students from across the state. Being named an All-State student is among the highest honors for a high school musician. Congratulations to these five students!" Comments are closed.
