"The University of Kentucky is launching its Pre-College Conservatory for High School students this June 2017! We will offer two Summer Intensives - a MUSICAL THEATRE VOICE INTENSIVE and an ACTING INTENSIVE. An immersive set of week-long programs that aims to enhance skills in acting, voice, and dance for high school artists including 8th grade graduates rising to freshmen; positioning them for a more successful collegiate study and professional careers on stage. Train with highly-experienced faculty in a variety of individual and group classes. "UK Opera Theatre is celebrating the 25th anniversary of "It's a Grand Night for Singing" this year! "Grand Night" is an annual musical revue filled with beautiful singing, glitzy song and dance numbers, and amazing talent. As in years past, children aged 8-16 have the opportunity to audition for the children's chorus. The children usually perform in one or two numbers and in the finale. Their rehearsal schedule is not as demanding as the adult performers. All rehearsals and performances, however, are mandatory. Auditions for the children's chorus will be held on Friday, March 24th, 4-6 pm. Please call 859-257-9331 to schedule an audition." |
