Audition for Into the Woods!  From Leeds Center for the Arts:
"Leeds Center for the Arts is excited to announce auditions for Into the Woods! Auditions are scheduled for May 18 or 19, 2016. Callbacks will be on May 20, 2016. Auditions are for ages 12 and up.To audition, you MUST fill out the form for a time slot by following this link. 

Please prepare 16 bars of a song in the style of the show that demonstrates your acting and vocal ability. Into the Woods will be directed by Sarah Evans with musical direction by Mary Joy Nelson. 

Show dates are September 1-4, 2016 and 9-11, 2016."

• Audition workshop for Into the Woods at GRC, 8:30 p.m. Friday, May 13 (After the Cohort Final Performance).  GRC Cardinal Theatre.

Lexington Children's Theatre’s Performance Workshop [AT LEEDS!]: Diary of a Wimpy Kid (Ages 8-12)

• Performance workshops allow participants to improve their acting and performance skills. Students receive classes in acting, improvisation, voice and movement. Each child enrolled in the workshop receives a speaking role in the play which rehearses every day, culminating in a fully mounted performance for family and friends on Friday evening.

Leeds Musical Theatre Review Camp (Ages 12-17)

• Did you know that time spent in a theater is one of the best things your student could do over the summer to keep his or her learning skills sharp for the academic year? Putting on a play is more than just costumes, applause and stage bows. It gives students the opportunity to be part of a team and see a project through from start to finish important skills as schools increasingly focus on collaboration, problem solving, self confidence, and project-based learning.
• This is an invitation for your student to join us this summer for a drama camp where we will develop skills in acting, improv, stand up comedy, dance, vocals, audition techniques, monologues and set design.
• Whether your student grabs the lead role or designs a set, whether they get up the courage to sing in front of an audience or quietly brainstorm blocking a scene, they will develop the resilience that experts say makes all the difference for academic and lifelong success.
• The class culminates in a musical revue for family and friends on Friday evening.
