Leeds Center for the Arts is a non-profit arts organization in Winchester, KY whose mission is to energize the community through the beauty and the power of the arts. Leeds serves the community by providing not only a facility where the performing arts may grow, but also as a catalyst to further revitalize the downtown Winchester area. The Leeds Youth Advisory Board will be comprised of high school students that care deeply about not only the arts, but are leaders who are motivated to work with each other and the community on arts – based projects. The Leeds YAB will meet monthly to discuss collaborative outreach projects, short – term and long – term goals, partnership prospects, and leadership in all aspects of the arts. The Leeds YAB will serve as an extraordinary leadership and collaborative opportunity for our area youth leaders. Simply put, the Leeds YAB will be a team of likeminded individuals poised to raise awareness and promote the arts throughout not only our community, but the region. The Leeds YAB will meet on Wednesdays bi-weekly from 6-7 P.M. for project brainstorming and collaboration. They will be expected to commit 10 hours per month of time to the Youth Advisory Board."
