Register Here PATRICK GARR'S BIO Patrick is a New York-based dancer, singer, actor, choreographer and dance teacher currently performing inMean Girls on Broadway. He graduated from the University of Kentucky with a BA in Theatre, Musical Theatre Certificate, and a minor in Dance. Patrick is a proud Contemporary Dance alumni of the School for the Creative and Performing Arts and the Kentucky Governor's School for the Arts. Patrick has trained extensively in many professional venues, including: Giordano Dance Chicago (on scholarship), iTheatrics (NYC), Broadway Dance Center, Alvin Ailey, and more. After graduation Patrick moved to New York City to pursue a career in performance. Patrick’s professional credits include: Mean Girls (Broadway), Jerome Robbins' Broadway (The MUNY),Fiddler on the Roof (The MUNY), Mary Poppins (The Lexington Theatre Company), Hello, Dolly!, Aida, Billy Elliot, Big Fish (Music Theatre Wichita). Patrick is on faculty with Groove National Dance Competition, Varsity All Star Dance Competition, and Man In Motion NYC. As a choreographer, Patrick's credits include: Addams Family, Thoroughly Modern Millie, and selections from Matilda, Chicago, and Pippin. Patrick is a proud member of Actor's Equity Association. Auditions are for ages 10 and up. You must be 10 years old by the date of auditions. Callbacks for the roles of Jane and Michael may be held at another date. Morehead State University Summer Arts Academy About the Academy The Morehead State University Summer Arts Academy exists to nurture students' development in the arts in a setting which allows interaction with expert faculty and the opportunity to work with other students who share specific interests in music, theatre, and art & design. All students will select a course of study appropriate to their individual medium , but all will receive the same opportunities. The Academy consists of six full days of activities, including individual and group instruction in your chosen area (music, theatre, and art & design). Recreational activities will include an "Art Hop" night, movie night, bowling night and performances /presentations by Morehead State University Summer Art Academy faculty. EligibilityAll students interested in Music, Theatre, or Art & Design may enroll in the Academy. The Academy is intended for high school students from rising freshman through graduating seniors. Because of the special learning opportunities offered by the Academy, graduating high schools students who will be attending Morehead State University (incoming freshman) in the Arts are highly encouraged to attend. Housing and Food ServiceStudents will live in campus residence halls and be supervised by Academy staff and faculty at all times. These facilities are within walking distance of Baird Music Hall, Claypool-Young Art Building and Breckinridge Hall where they will attend their Academy courses. Housing and food prices are included in the published tuition rates. In addition to bringing their own clothing, toiletries, etc., students must bring their own sheets, pillowcases, and towels.
